The Cimat CMT-VSR Big Basic is a two-station balancing machine for assembling the turbocharger rotor and cores. Combining two balancers in one housing CMT-VSR Big and CMT-47 TR Polymer, these machines are the whole center for all turbocharger balancing operations:


The right part of the machine is the rotor balancing equipment CMT-47 TR Polymer; turbine and compressor wheel.

The left part of the machine is the CMT-VSR Big quick core assembly balancing mechanism for cars, vans and heavy trucks.

Rotor balancing equipment

The rotor balancing equipment is used in the first stage of turbocharger renewal. These machines have been specially designed for dynamic balancing of all types of turbocharger rotors in two correction planes. They support turbocharger rotors for cars, cars and heavy trucks.

High Speed ​​Core Assembly Balancing Machine

The CMT-VSR Big was designed to quickly balance turbochargers for cars and light trucks. The machine is used in the second turbocharger balancing step to check for an undesirable dynamic rotor phenomenon at rated speed, e.g. shaft bending according to the moment of force. Balancing over the entire rotation range extends the life of the turbocharger and eliminates unwanted whistling effects.


The core assembly is mounted to the hub of the machine using a mounting flange with two clamps to secure it. The turbine wheel is driven by compressed air supplied through a drive bushing with a nozzle system. During the measurement, oil of the correct temperature and pressure is supplied so that the balancing conditions are similar to those of the combustion engine. During the measurement, the vibration graph of the core unit is displayed, taking into account the value of the rotation speed and the vibration rate. In addition, to facilitate the analysis of the vibration graph, the software specifies the exact angular position of the imbalance.
