Generators

The main types of diesel electric generators:

  • Standard diesel generators are the simplest generators that use a diesel engine to generate electricity. They are quite reliable, powerful and can be used in various industries.
  • Mobile diesel generators are generators that are placed on wheels or on mobile platforms for easy transportation to different locations. They are mostly used in the construction sector, at festivals or other places where a temporary power supply system is needed.
  • Inverter diesel electric generators are high-quality generators that can create a very stable supply of electric current. They are very quiet, economical and last a long time. More suitable for sensitive electronic devices such as medicine or computer networks.
  • Backup electric generator complexes - these are generator complexes that are placed in backup electricity supply systems. They ensure that electricity is available for some critical processes even if the main power supply system is down.

How to choose an electric generator:

  1. Power: What power is required? If you plan to use the generator at home or in a small business, 5-10 kW may be sufficient. However, if you need electricity for a large building or industrial complex, you may need power up to 100 kW or more.
  2. Purpose: What will be the purpose of the generator? Whether it is used as an auxiliary power source at home, as a mobile generator on a construction site or as a continuous power supply system in an industrial area.
  3. Efficiency and reliability: How efficient and reliable is the chosen generator? It is worth paying attention to the reliability of the manufacturer, engine size and other technical aspects.
  4. Noise level - whether a quiet generator is required should be assessed. If the generator is used not only at home, but also in a rural tourism complex or holiday cottages, it may be important to keep it as quiet as possible.
  5. Price.
  6. Maintenance and Service Costs: A diesel generator requires some maintenance and service costs such as engine maintenance, fuel filter, oil change, etc.
  7. Certifications and Warranties: Check the generator's certifications and warranties to ensure its quality and safety.
