Comparing all the key programming and diagnostic functions, we can clearly see that the MaxiIM IM608 Pro is fully superior to the MaxiIM IM508. But if you’ve already invested in professional car diagnostics and ECU programming and are just looking for a device for car key programming, the MaxiIM IM508 along with the XP400 is a great and cheaper solution to the problem (except for a few cases shown in the comparison charts). However, if you need an all-in-one device that performs full diagnostics, full service functions, program keys and ECU, full-time battery life and photography, the Autel MaxiIM IM605 Pro is for you.
