Diagnostic Fundamentals in Kaunas - Baltic Diag training at KTU Laboratory

Basic automotive electronics diagnostics training organised by Baltic Diag in cooperation with Kaunas University of Technology (KTU).

The training takes place at KTU University, Studentų g. 50, Kaunas, in a laboratory set up on our behalf.
Duration - 4 academic hours
Group - up to 10 participants
Baltic Diagnostic Service diploma is issued

WHO THIS TRAINING IS FOR

This training is for:

  • Beginners in the service industry
  • technical students who want a practical grounding
  • technicians who work with diagnostics but do not have a clear system logic
  • garages that want to quickly introduce a new employee to the basics of diagnostics

Training is not suitable:

  • advanced technicians already working with complex coding or ECU programming
  • those who are looking for an in-depth analysis at the electronics or programming level
  • This is a solid start. Not "tricks", but understanding where to start and why.

CONTENTS OF THE TRAINING

Theoretical part:

  • The structure of the modern car and the interrelationships between electronic systems
  • Communication protocols: CAN-BUS, LIN-BUS, K-Line, Ethernet
  • Purpose and operating logic of diagnostic equipment
  • Security Gateway (SGW): what you need to know before starting work
  • VCI modules and their functional differences (J2534, SmartLink/XLink, etc.)

Practical part:

  • Overview of software functions (Diagnose, Service Functions, Toolbox, etc.)
  • Connection methods: make, EOBD/OBD2
  • Reading and analysing live parameters
  • Bidirectional component management
  • Correct selection of service functions and basic adaptations
  • Introduction to ECU coding logic and practical example

The training uses professional diagnostic equipment - Autel*

HOW THE TRAINING IS DELIVERED

  • Up to 10 participants per group
  • Theoretical part with real examples from repair practice
  • Practical demonstration and work with the equipment
  • Question and answer session
  • Presentation of the Baltic Diag diploma

The training is carried out on a regular basis, once the group is assembled, and individual or tailor-made training is also possible.
