How to test the power steering system:

1. Connect the tester to the pump and high pressure line as shown in the instructions. Disconnect the high pressure line from the pump. Attach the reducing gaskets to the pump and line. Then connect the quick disconnect connections to the tester high pressure hoses.

2. Start the engine

3. Test 1: Lock the switch in the SYSTEM position. Measure the pressure in the car's hydraulic system.

4. Test 2: Lock the switch in the PUMP position for 5 seconds. The pressure gauge indicates the maximum pressure generated by the pump and the flow drops to 0.

5. Test 3: Lock the switch in the SYSTEM position. Turn the steering wheel to the left or right to the end position. Measure the pressure and flow in the car's hydraulic system.

6. Test 4: Lock the switch in the SYSTEM position Turn the steering wheel to the rear left and then to the rear right. Measure the pressure and flow at both positions.

7. Switch off the engine.

8. Disconnect the tester.
